    Artist History
The 100th Monkey’s first full length release features twelve tracks of high energy hiphop flavored with a slice of old school soul. The album accurately captures the live sound and energy of the group featuring the socio-politically charged lyrics of MC Dave Devereaux which are smoothly accented by the soul drenched vocals of Miss Loretta. The resulting mix of influences and styles make Looking At My World one of the most compelling hiphop albums coming out of the Northwest this year. Looking At My World was produced by legendary Seattle producer Jack Endino(Nirvana, Soundgarden, Murder City Devils) whose musical style gives it a raw sound reminiscent of early Run DMC recordings. The album features performances by other local artists including MC Wheelie(Optimus Rhyme) and Kimo(Nu Sol Tribe) on saxophone and vocals.

    Press Reviews
Splendid E-Zine says “...Dave Devereaux's dynamic vocals end up stealing the show…clever rhymes and addictive melodies give everything a natural flow.” Technopunkmusic.com describes, “This is hip-hop at its most versatile…This is hip-hop infused jazz, rock-based urban sounds, professional instrumentation edged over with vocal poetics, lounge music roughed up for the streets and young cockiness surrounded by mature professionalism. It all combines to make The 100th Monkey a completely unique entity of potent, pleasing and fully rounded brilliance."
