Press Reviews
"This is minimalistic mantra music, the same brief motives repeated while other motives or textures ride atop them, or blend with them, to provide some extra oomph! There are nods to Frippertronics, especially in 'Frippnotized'. In his own promotional materials, Silva describes this as 'a progressive album with jazz influence.' Its all performed on guitars and guitar synths tweaked by processing and delay technologies, with improvisation leading the way. Other comparisons might be the likes of Terry Riley, Klaus Schultz. Ultimately, its a homegrown take on the genre that might be modest in its production, but succeeds nonetheless." - Progression Magazine Summer/Fall 1999 |
