Artist description The band Overblonde is made up of Zach Kacalek, Jake Gerig, Cory Albright, and Arlo “Mad-dog” Crain, whom are all 16 and 17. The band employs two guitarists and vocalists -- Zach Kacalek and Jake Gerig-- whose distinct sounds give Overblonde an awesome, complete sound. Cory Albright’s full bodied bass sound adds a unique, solid foundation to the band. Arlo Crain’s thundering and amazingly tight drumming adds the perfect heartbeat for the band.

Artist History The alternative-rock band, then known as “the Nippleheads”, started in the summer of 1998. There was then 5 members. When Jake, Zach, Arlo, and Cory kicked the extra guitarist out, they decided to drop the name “Nippleheads”. Soon they began calling themselves “Overblown”. A few months later they had a show set up at the Paris Theater in Portland and told the place that their name was Overblown. The Paris Theater mis-understood and put the name “Overblonde” on the marquee out front. The band has kept that name. Much more important than how they formed is how infectious their music is.
