Artist History
Born in Washington D.C., this singer/songwriter/musician displayed the aptitude for creating music since the age of 3. She later began studying classical piano at the age 6, where it was then discovered by her private instructor she possessed the gift of perfect pitch, with whom she continued to perform with for 13 years thereafter. Although her initial and true aspiration is to eventually become a film score writer, Marilyn has been inspired to enter the recording industry by such artists as mentioned in her Musical Influences by the versatile use of their music talent. Along with her current position as Assistant Wardrobe Head at Ford's Theatre, Marilyn is presently working with several new and up coming artist with Priority and Def Jam Records as well as devoting herself to her own project. She writes all her material, which can be quite personal, having a lot to do with her life's experiences. She also creates, produce, and arrange all her music, which is quite diverse due to her classical background and broad appreciation for all genres of music. With her unique style and universal appeal her music has with listeners of all ages, Marilyn Niccole definitely has a distinct sound of her own that has great potential to bring new ambience to the music scene of this new millennium. |
