Artist description madnomad appropriates from movies, forgotten vinyl and overheard snatches of conversation, placing them in an alternate framework to add meaning through association and repetition. The intention is to create iconoclastic, extreme three-minute ‘pop’ songs, varying from the mellow laid back groove of 35 Summers, to the full-on metallic head rush of Gun of Sod.

Artist History madnomad has been in existence for 4 months, with 20 years pre-production.The current six track EP ‘Solvent : Insolvent’, was conceived, navigated, executed, self financed and released in the space of seven weeks.madnomad’s recent highly lauded live appearance at Bristol’s prestigious Cube Arts cinema included projections of specially commissioned super-8 films, designed to complement the songs and add to the visual experience. Further performances in Bristol and London have incorporated live drums and bass, guest vocalists, megaphones and children’s musical toys, continuing to confound audiences’ expectations and preconceptions. Future live events will hopefully include collaborations with string quartets, power tools and a children’s’ choir.
