Albums Grumbles From The Underground

Press Reviews Yeah, I'm reviewing my own album.I called it Grumbles From The Underground. Cause Ihave always felt that I represented the frustratedclass of intellectuals who are tried of the preening and stupidity that plauges society. It's not that I am completely disastified with society. It's just that I see the potential of things and am disappointed when they fail to achieve up to their capabilities. Many of the songs on this album represent frustrations. Some are targeted at business and advertising and social pressure which I (with few exceptions) despise. Some are targeted at myself. One of my biggest complaints about coporate "entertainment" is that it tends to appeal to the lowest common denominator. The justification seems to be that if you want to have a "universal" appeal it has to be stupid because, people are stupid. I reject this. I think people are more intelligent than they are given credit for. They just need to be exposed to challenges for that intellect. Not constant recreations known qunatities and concepts which comprise the majority of today's so-called entertainment.I created an alubm of what I was interested in. Reflecting the types of music I listen to and perform. I was not knowingly trying to create songs for an audience. I was creating them for myself. I have few delusions granduer but, I dohave a desire to communicate. I hope that this album communicates something to you. Isn't that what art is really about?
