Artist History
"Spiral" is the new proposal from EVIDENCE, once again produced by Luís Barros (Tarantula) and mastered by the well-known Tommy Newton (Elegy, Helloween, Tarantula).
EVIDENCE started their career in 1995, inspired by the 70's and 80's sound, where the combination of classical revivalism, Hard-Rock and Heavy-Metal became the band's main influence. In the first years, these four musicians from Lisbon developed their own style, did some live performances and recorded a demo-tape. The reactions to this demo led the band to start thinking about their first album. With the producer Luís Barros they recorded in the Rec'n'Roll Studios the CD "Truth from a Lie". Released in 2000 as a self financed edition, this record was distributed worldwide in countries such as Portugal (Recital), Spain (Locomotive), Germany (Rising Sun), United Kingdom/Ireland (Revolver/Universal), USA/Canada (Nightmare Records) , France (Black Cat) and Italy (Underground Symphonies)
In October 2001 EVIDENCE appeared in the Tarantula tribute with the cover version "Looking for heroes", recording also the video for this release. Few months later they returned to Rec'n'Roll to work in the new songs. The result is "Spiral", an album that proofs the band maturity and also their strong musicianship and personality. |
