Artist description
Lamont's voice is all at once sexy, spiritual, dream-like, intense, comforting, intriguing, mysterious, revealing, moody and detached. As a performer he is as passionate as Bono, as honest as Bob Dylan, as warm as Mike Peters and as compelling as Patti Smith. All this mixed with the drama and charisma of Jim Morrison leaving the shadows and entering the light. |

Artist History
It has been an exciting journey for Billy Lamont since performin on "The Joe Franklin Show" to currently releasing a CD "Into The 21st Century" with special guests Mike Peters of The Alarm and the late Allen Ginsberg reciting from his legendary poem "Howl." This is due largely to the passion of his live performances and the success of his book of poetry entitled "The Gallery Of Light" which was released in 1994 and is distributed nationally by Ingram. |

Press Reviews
"In the tradition of Jim Morrison, Bob Dylan, Patti Smith and Jim Carroll comes Billy Lamont...and I love it," said Joe Franklin on Lamont's first national television appearance in 1991. Mike Peters says of Lamont, "There's no truth like the truth you dare to let yourself see. Billy's poetry let's you see the truth of himself and the truth that surrounds him which is also the truth that surrounds you. Take a look and you will find love, hate, all life in it." Bob Buchmann, Vice President/DJ for WBAB comments,"As Billy writes, 'Poetry is therapy!' I thank him for his gift." |
