Artist description
The great state of Kentucky presents yet another addition to the Gospel Music world. Joining the ranks of such notable performers as Dottie Rambo and the Bishops, comes a group of men who sing Southern Gospel Music--quartet style! Larry S. Mudd is one of today's few remaining "true" baritones. Having garnered a lifetime of experience in southern gospel quartet singing, he insists upon the smooth VETERANS QUARTET harmony that has become the group's trademark. Larry is an accomplished piano tuner and a member of Providence Baptist Church in Brooks, KY. He and his wife Janice reside in Leitchfield, KY. Larry's son, Mark S. Mudd, has been singing bass full-time for the group since 1989. The Butler County, KY resident attended the 1995 Stamps-Baxter School of Music, where he received individualized training from legendary bass singer Brock Speer. Mark's first songwriting effort was debuted on the project "This Man Jesus;" the title song was released as a national single and charted in the Singing News Top 80 for 5 months! In addition to owning MSM Promotions and the Jubilee Records label, Mark has bachelor's degrees in Applied Mathematics and Civil Engineering from Kentucky State University and the University of Kentucky. Mark is married to Rebecca and they have one son, Jacob. They all attend the Aberdeen Baptist Church in Butler County, where Mark and Rebecca are members. The lead vocalist for the group is a Big Spring, KY farmer. After singing with his family in local churches for several years, Eric Vertrees joined the VETERANS QUARTET in 1984. He attended the University of Kentucky's Elizabethtown Community College where he earned a business degree and was a member of the school's choir. The combination of natural talent, experience, and training, results in the fine lead singer Eric is today. Eric, his wife Cheryl, and son Matthew all reside in Big Spring, KY, and attend the Longfield Baptist Church. The newest addition to the VETERANS QUARTET is tenor singer Tim Durrall. Tim has been singing tenor for over 25 years with groups such as Heavenbound, The Bibletones, and the Florida Boys. Also an accomplished songwriter, Tim's hit song "He's My Rock," recorded by the Florida Boys, became a Singing News Top 10 hit! Tim, his wife Sherry, and two sons Aaron and Jared are all members of Harvest Church of God in Louisville, K Y . Whether in an auditorium setting or at your church, this quartet will deliver a high quality, professional program which exalts the name of Jesus Christ. The VETERANS QUARTET is a must see artist for the Southern Gospel quartet lover! |
