Artist description
Having learned to appreciate all kinds of music, Chimney Rock started building songs that reflected a combination of styles that included Country, Blues, Rock, and Native American. They let the lyrics dictate the music that would accompany them. Soft, simple words usually became country songs; Harsh reality became Blues; Angry disappointment needed the hard drive of Rock music; the mysterious side of being alive tended to work well with heavy indian drums; and some of their songs will never be classified. |

Artist History
Chimney Rock is the brainchild of Calvin McWha and Larry Brinkley and was formed on January 16, 1993, when five friends came together to try to make a difference, both for themselves and for the world. They shared many common bonds, like their view of life, their philosophy, their desire to make the world a little better place, and, perhaps greatest of all, their love of music. Since it's inception, CHIMNEY ROCK has been a songwriting group, having put together well over five hundred country, blues, and rock songs. Though band members change from time to time, it has always been about doing what they love to do. Play music! |
