Artist History
The Rimsky - Korsakov String Quartet was founded in 1939, has retained its current membership since 1985 and has long been one of the leading chamber music ensembles in St Petersburg, being well known beyound the borders of Russia. The members of the string quartet are all graduates of St Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory. Since 1990 the quartet has given regular concerts in Germany; its concerts at the Berlin Schauspielhaus have brought it its greatest successes. The musicians have also toured Italy,there they gave concerts in Rome, Milan, Veniceand Sicily, and have played together in Belgrade, Paris and Prague, Luxembourg, Spain and Nigeria |
