Artist description Project 9 is a high energy four-piece instrumental band with musical styles ranging from rock to fusion, funk to progressive.

Artist History As with any story, there's a beginning. About six months in the planning stage, this instrumental endeavor has undergone many stylistic and musical twists. Originally dubbed a promotional sampler disc for guitarist Pete Buciak to market his original writing and playing ability; the songs and sounds have since developed into an interesting, versatile, four-piece instrumental unit. While Peter's initial approach to drummer Ron Stewart and bassist Geoff Bates was in the interest of recording the material, the project has continued after the first 9/9/99(Project 9)recording sessions to perform it live. With the addition of twenty-year old guitar wizard Matt Bowman, the sounds are settling in rather effortlessly. Positive attitudes and positive energy fuel this band. We hope the CD will both entertain and inspire you on this journey we call music.

Buciak displays incredible tone and texture as he leads his crack trio through a roller coaster ride of tasteful licks and tricks. Drummer Ron Stewart(Joe Perry Project; ITMB) who has been out of the spotlight for some time, makes his presence felt on the disc, grounding Peter B. on his sonic excursions while bassist Geoff Bates rounds out the triple threat's potent sound. Well written and executed, Project 9's "Revealing Notes" is a welcomed addition to this musical connoisseur's private collection and one that will get plenty of playing time.
