Artist description
Profusion is an indepedent electronic artist from New Orleans, LA - USA.
Since 1998, Profusion has been creating a variety of electronic music inspired by many different artists. From well-known 80's groups such as Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears, Phil Collins, Bruce Hornsby to the more recent and familiar sounds of Paul Oakenfold, BT, Delerium, Enigma, White Zombie, The Crystal Method and many others.
The first machine that started Profusion's swim in the electronic music world in '98 was a BOSS DR-5 Dr. Rhythm Section. From that point on, things would gradually progress throughout the years. With the purchase of a multi-effects processor and widely-used FruityLoops Pro music software, there was no doubt Profusion would continue diving deeper into the scene and pickup a great amount of experience.
After joining MP3.com in 2000, Profusion soon met pop/vocal artist Mike Burn (mp3.com/mikeburn). This would set a new wave of experiences which continue till this day. Profusion made a definitive mark with Mike Burn after writing lyrics for 6 of his songs, which have all topped the charts with #1 to #3 positions.
Today, you can hear the progress of Profusion through the sounds of a Korg Triton Pro Workstation / Sampler -- a clear indication of progress in the music scene. While there may not be a consistent sound or category for Profusion, there will always be a consistency of passion and a story behind each song that can be heard with an open-mind.
