Artist History Mirek Stekla was born in Silezia, Poland. From an early age he developed strong passion for music. He was enrolled into the State Music School in Cieszyn where he studied classical guitar and piano. In 1981 he and his family migrated to Melbourne, Australia. There he continued his music career. In 1983 he moved to USA where he performed with Heritage Singers. With them he travelled extensively across USA, Europe, Africa, Asia and South Pacific. In 1986 he came back to live in Australia and finish his music degree at LaTrobe University. After completing his degree he continued to perform around Australia with his own group Frontier. Apart from that he recorded 3 instrumental CD's.
