Artist History Hello & welcome to the world of "MEAT WAGON"We are the product of 5 middle aged, burn-out, adolescent "HEAVY METAL" & Progressive Rock Heads of the 80'S & 90'S, Still going strong with our love and dedication to the survival of good ol' fashion "Real Music" There are no gimmicks here. Just a bunch of down to earth American boys with a passion for excitement and a darn good time.The Band “Meat Wagon” in it’s current incarnation, has been heavily involved in the writing of the most heavy and progressive metal that’s comes to their minds.Certain members have been friends for years, others for only about a year or so. Our influences are definitely wide-spread they range from Bob Marley to Ozric Tentacles But for the most part the influences that come through in our music would have to be that of Metallica, Slayer, Pantera and so on.The original MEAT WAGON was formed 2 years ago by Shon and Ryan Quayle (Vocs. /Drummer) and Jeff Butterfield (Guitar) who played for same time in the ol' basement jam room at the Quayle residence until Ryan met up with an old acquaintance (Jim Miller). Ryan told Jim that he had a band project he had been doing for a while and was thinking about going in to the studio for a recording. What Luck!!! Jim had just purchased a bunch of recording equipment (enough to produce a descent C.D.) and told Ryan to bring his band over for a "test" recording. That little studio project is what finally formed the Band "MEAT WAGON”, as we now know it. Upon arrival to the studio we met up with Troy Birch (Bassist/sound Dude) and together with Jim Miller (Guitar) we just clicked a match made in heaven (or Hell if you prefer!) We are continually growing in our writing styles as we progress as a band and as friends, be on the look out in the future. We are starting to play out this summer and looking forward to it!!
