I, to this day, cannot actually determine whether 1980 was an exhilarating transformation or a numbed and instant termination of my life, possibly throwing what was left of me into a cosmic Lost and Found. During certain times in past years, when I lay down to rest, I have these intense visions of a few different places that are just perfect. They are so perfect that it is painful not to be there when I get up. I am awake when I experience these scenes though I must be still and quiet or they blow away like feathers. Every now and then there are spools [recordings] or books that cause this perception. In the cases where these perceptions are precipitated by spools or books (or sometimes objects and situations), the feeling does not blow away like feathers and can sometimes become a fixture for several days. At the time of these awarenesses, it feels as if though everything is perfectly clear and bathed in cosmic light. A fleeting perception of the ultimate connectedness between distant concepts and situations presents itself like a road map of the realms beyond. There are bees. Big fuzzy buzzy ones. When I try to grab one, it is like finding a bloody 1979 penny in my pocket and getting sucked through the time vortex back to this bright bowdlerized wasteland. The stuff on these tracks is all just practice and experimentation with new things I bought in 1980, but in this case, the only reason that I bought all the crap was because I had to express the imagery pertaining to what was happening to me on the |
