Artist description
JoJo de Veyra (otherwise known as warphoto) is a Filipino indie poet and fictionist who has a collection of unreleased songs stored in two cassette tapes. His occasional sparring partner, bassist/effects man Bernie Asis, himself has a rich collection of copyrighted songs. One of Manila's hundreds of untapped rock molds, Warphoto blends melodic alternative rock with edgy cheap guitars backed by a tight rhythm echo tool and clever lyrics. His uncelebrated, unreleased first album and energetic dead no-show make this onesome a sort of old band-a-be to watch. |
