Artist description
The composer has brought over 40 years of experience to these compositions where his love of Traditional, Nonwestern, Meditative and Experimental music has forged an unusual synthesis of musical styles. This music continually challenges itself to go beyond the social clichés and musical concepts of today and will challenge the listener to set aside old prejudices and "comfortable" ways of relating to music. The poems used in these compositions have been written over the last 30 years and represent a minimalistic point of view, a Haiku like expression that points to something that cannot be expressed directly. To these ends the music becomes the flow that draws our consciousness into that "something".This is a meditative process that requires concentrated listening and openness. This music was recorded and processed at the composers own electronic studio and many field recordings were incorporated into the texture. |
