Artist History
At the age of 15, Ingrid Sophia began singing in local clubs in Aspen, Colorado. At a young age, she possessed a mature and soulful voice and the ability to interpret lyrics like someone well beyond her years. At 19 she moved to New York City to perform in such clubs as the Bitter End and Chicago B.L.U.E.S. Ingrid studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts and while in school, she performed regularly to include singing back-up for L.L. Cool J. Her studies then lead her to spend one year in The Netherlands at the Rotterdam Conservatory. While in Holland, she sang with several local groups throughout the country. Ingrid Sophia is currently living in Los Angeles where she completed a self-titled 3 song CD. One of the tracks, Deep Inside, was nominated for Rock Song of the year 2001 by Just Plain Folks (www.JPFolks.com). Over 35,000 songs were submitted for the awards and less than 1% received a nomination. Ingrid and her band can be seen locally at such clubs as The Mint and The Gig. Check out www.IngridSophia.com for their latest calendar. |
