Artist description Ensemble Phorminx was formed by musicians and composers in Darmstadt, Germany in 1993. The goal was to enable a direct dialogue between performers and composers. Over 60 compositions have been written for the group.The ensemble has made many recordings and has recently been awarded the coveted prize of the “Deutschen Schallplatten Kritik” for the CD “Vom Eise Befreit”Ensemble Phorminx is: Carola Schlüter, soprano; Angelika Bender, flutes; Thomas Löffler, clarinets; Jens Krahl, percussion: John Noel Attard, piano; Peter Zelienka, violin and Wolfgang Lessing, cello.
