Artist History
The Brokenhearted started as an acoustic venture by Daniel. Him and Adam were attending Ball State and with nothing much else to do, Daniel wrote many songs which he had planned on recording by himself under the name "brokenhearted." He had recently been through a few relationships which had gone sour and guitar was his main outlet for aggression and feeling. After a few months past, Adam offered to play bass in his songs. Soon thereafter, Brad joined on drums. Brad, being a guitarist and drummer decided to find a new drummer. Ben started to play drums to allow Brad to play guitar. In June of 2000, the Brokenhearted went into Star Studios to record their first cd. During the process, Brad and Ben chose to part ways with the group to pursue other interests. Daniel and Adam finished the recording on their own with two acoustic guitars and their lovely voices. Then, in October of 2000, Dan found Josh to play drums for the Brokenhearted. Daniel, Adam, and Josh are the Brokenhearted (though Dan is the only "brokenhearted"). |
