Artist description
The ethereal quality of her voice combined with her haunting melodies immediately draws you into Amara's compelling tales. Whether sharing her deeply personal thoughts or examining a situation from the third person, Amara's songs convey honesty and compassion throughout; thus eliciting a strong emotional response from her listeners. Lyrically, she explores universal themes such as life, death, and love, but she does so in a manner that is uniquely hers. Instead of relying on pure angst and cynicism to get her message across, Amara seeks to inject the mournful subject matter with shreds of optimism; displaying a wisdom and perspective which belies her years. Her debut release, Personal Oceans, showcases a young woman of striking talent, in terms of her abilities as a pianist, vocalist and songwriter. |

Artist History
Music has always been an integral part of Amara's life - playing piano since the age of 4 she studied mainly classical music for 11 years until she felt a change in direction was necessary. She decided to stop piano lessons yet never stopped playing. Soon after she began to write her own songs and feeling the need for another musical texture, she learned to play guitar. Now at the age of 19 she has recorded her debut EP titled Personal Oceans. Always looking for a new perspective and eager to start playing live shows, Amara is ready to unveil her music to those willing to listen. |
