It's so obvious now that consumers are so use to the "quick fix" that real artists aren't allowed to shine. We have to start using our own ears, brains & hearts again. Press Reviews TOYBOX is offering headz a sample of their soon-to-be-available full length release in this EP-length disc. I was hesitant to write up a disc that only had two tracks on it - we usually leave that to the 12' kids _ but once the headphones sank into my head and the sounds started to flow, there was no turning back. The Chemistry takes on the task of rhyming over an accelerated and hype back beat {courtesy of Roc the Ultra-Magnetic} with finesse. Like something from a James Bond car chase scene, the track seems to dare the MCs to try to keep up. Clearly, Nebulous, Krazy Mike and The Golden Child were up for the challenge. Their range of verbal styles and flows gives new meaning to the word diverse. Diversity plus seamlessness equals mastery. The only thing this record lacks is more tracks. Elemental will be on the lookout for the next compound from TOYBOX, because this formula shouldn't be stuck in a test tube.
