Artist description
Thought Brigade is a living, breathing, Boston-based rock band. Rob Capra writes the songs, sings and plays guitar. Alan Levin plays keys and sings back up. Dan Kirk plays bass, and Pat Santorelli hits the skins. The band's sound is eclectic, energetic, and catchy as hell. Songs twist and turn. It's interesting and intelligent music anchored by an undeniable pop sensibility. |

Artist History
Thought Brigade formed in 1998, though its members aren't new to musical accomplishment. Rob and Alan's first band, Urban Oasis, enjoyed a local hit with an early recording of the song "Details". The song hit the number one spot on the WERS local show in 1993. WERS is Emerson College's radio station and the most well-known college radio station in the Boston area. The recording also led to airplay, interviews and live performances on other local stations, including WMFO (Tufts), WBRS (Brandeis), WFNX and WBCN. Urban Oasis played shows from Boston to Manhattan. Dan's first gig was opening for Godsmack with his first band, The Dark. His second band, Language of the Mad, played clubs in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and received airplay on 100.3 WHEB and 101.1 WGIR. Drummer Pat Santorelli is a Berkelee grad who spent years playing live and recording with acts ADADA, Acts Magdalena and songwriter Sara Bishop Valentine (whose songs were recorded by The Cure, Ricki Lee Jones, and others). He's shared the stage with The Gin Blossoms, The Tragically Hip, Duke Robillard and others. |
