Artist History
The group started back in the late 70's with Sondra and Tony Burke. They both were just married and began to sing in local churches within the area, Tony playing just a guitar and had duet harmonies. They continued to sing through the years, and then their son, Joe, joined with a new gift to the band. He started out playing just keyboards but later developed a singing voice. Today, The Burkes has released a national song through Kevin Spencer Radio Service, and are currently a part time group. |

*1)We have been featured and charted on several radio stations in the tri-state area, and have recently appeared in the Gospel News Magazine. We have also nationally released the song "World of Wonder" on "Kevin Spencer Radio Service," where it has been sent to over 1,500 radio stations across the U.S.*2)This old-fashioned Southern Gospel group uses the classic '50s Nashville Country style to sing of Christian and traditional values. Wonderful musicianship and harmonizing. - Nick Dedina (Listen.com) |
