Artist description
One Cent Spent is an energetic, thought provoking, yet ear pleasing melodic punk band from San Luis Obispo, CA. Their music consists of a combination of catchy pop-punk hooks and urgent angst driven desperation, coupled with powerful vocal harmonies and rhythms. Sometimes they play hard and fast, sometimes more mellow and reflective. But its always good, sincere original music. |

Press Reviews
Listen.com: "Competently done catchy SoCal-style Pop-Punk. More gusto and originality than similar bands, most of which come off as NOFX clones (these guys don't). The harmonized vocals are rough enough around the edges to keep things raw." // Manifesto Vol. 2 Issue 5: "Spent brings a fresh sound to the punk scene in San Luis Obispo. Most impressive is the good handle on instruments. No one person drowns the other person out. The vocals are also terrific with the guitarist and bassist keeping in perfect unison. As far as the sounds go, Spent kind of reminds me of old Ten Foot Pole with a little Homegrown thrown in. Also its mom friendly." |
