    Artist History
Biography My singing career dates back to my early upbringing in Catholic elementary school with the chorus. Upon graduating the eighth grade, I was already being noticed for my singing ability by some high school rockers who were searching for a lead vocalist/frontman. Hence forth, my rock and roll days and building a stage persona began. After high school I picked up the guitar and started putting original songs together, with the Beatles, and other 60's-70's pop artists on the radio, as my inspiration. It was an upward progression performing as a duo with my older brother who is an established local musician in his own right. Periodically a fuller sound was required, so we commissioned other local talents to join us as The Brown Bros. Band. Playing and writing for most of the 80's as a solo artist along with studying with The Bloomsburg Theater Ensemble (a local professional acting company) was good experience in improvisation and stage presence. Furthering my career in the nineties, I fronted a few rock bands and was leaning more towards originals, being taken more seriously, and moving up from small town arenas. I have maintained a fourteen-year printing career for a local publishing Co., and while earning a moderate income I was able to put together a fully functional 16 track recording studio in which I produced my first three CD's "In The Plan" "The Man Of The House", and "RB3". I have also engineered/produced commercially, for other bands and area businesses. I am currently working in an acoustic duo (Chamuris & Brown), and a rock quartet (RareForm) performing mostly classic rock covers as well as originals, and have drawn quite a good local following. I have also collaborated on the productions of some major local acts. Rob Brown

Gabor Kleinbloesem Editor of Strutter'zine RB3/THE MAN OF THE HOUSE-ROB BROWN (INDEPENDENT) Vocalist/guitarist/drummer Rob Brown comes out of Bloomsburg, USA and he sent me two of his solo records. The first one is called 'The man of the house', an album released in 1997. This CD starts with the semi melodic rocker "Who has this affected". During the middle of the CD things get really interesting with some quality melodic poprockers such as "Your kinda man", "The way I feel today", "Blinded by the moonlight", "Straighten up boy" and "The key". These songs are nice to hear and are reminding me of the early 80s (read EDDIE MONEY, RICK SPRINGFIELD and BRYAN ADAMS). On the other hand you also get to hear some acoustic tingled pop/rock such as "Time to fly" and "Love always finds a way. The new CD of ROB BROWN is called 'RB3' and follows the same route. Things start with a nice poprocker "A day late and a dollar short" (could've been a song title for ALICE COOPER). The last two songs are pretty good, these are the semi ballad "Destiny" and the late 70s typed melodic rocker "The American way" (a la RICK DERRINGER). Though I think Rob's previous album is much better, there's still something of interesting to check out on his upcoming new CD. Recommended to fans of westcoast tingled melodic pop\rock (TOM PETTY meets BRYAN ADAMS). Website: http://www.mp3.com and e-mail: rjbrown2001@earthlink.net (Points: 7.0 out of 10) Voltz Magazine: Robbie Evans "He's been compared to the likes of Eddie Money and Bryan Adams" "His style is quite original and hard to categorize" "His second CD "The Man Of The House" is by far the best of his albums" "The inquisitive should contact www.mp3.com/ robbrown"
