Artist description
Direct from Denver, Rob Benjamin is truly a "Mile High" with his unique and bizarre mix of samples, riffs, and pounding beats. Benjamin has been influenced by a wide variety of artists. His love for a wide variety of music has played a key part in his unique sound.Though his roots are rock, Rob loved the idea of recording digitally and toyed with various creative sounds and beats, uploading the results to mp3.com. Benjamin scored a Top 5 Dance hit on mp3.com with "If Only You Believed", a featured song in May 1999. "Believed" eventually became a traded mp3 file all over NAPSTER, creating a small worldwide fan base from Japan to Quebec. Benjamin's stage presence was felt in various venues in Colorado throughout 2000. Most notably, in Golden, Colorado where he opened for Multi-Platinum Rockers SKID ROW with a fellow Denver band, Peace, Love and Destruction. PLaD, a fast up and coming Colorado group were kind enough to offer Benjamin a guest guitar spot on their Metal/Rap hit, "I'll Kill You First". The audience loved Benjamin's white ghost eyes and unique stage show. Needless to say, Benjamin was asked to perform again with the group. In late 2000 Benjamin returned to the lab to record "PROPHET OFF ANOTHER". "Prophet" will encompass his passion and drive with a unique and fresh sound mixing electronica, rock, rap, and blues. Look for this exciting and talented artist to explode internationally soon. |
