Artist History
The legacy began after 17 year old Logan Michaels placed an ad in Metal Edge by accident. The ad was answered by one Mike Kata, who at the time played solely rhythym. By the time singer Sean Miles was discovered, Logan and Mike had a slew ofsongs under their belt. Besides singing, Sean also did most of the solo work. This trio certainly didn't last long, and Sean was quickly dropped. This left the guys at square one, but instead of giving up hope, Mike decided to become the lead man. With a couple of months of excrutiating lessons and practice, he had already become a soloist to rival that of the greats. Soon after Logan stumbled upon Billy Camargo and Matt Scriva. This duo was virtually inseperable, and with Billy's vocals and dramatic rhythym style, and Matt's underlying bass, the band was complete. This quartet played shows all over New York, banding together the purest of metal heads as a cult fanbase. Soon after, a demo was produced entitled, "Burning in your mind". This 4 song cassette was only a tool to attract labels, and after the team deemed it "too primitive", a CD became the band's vision. Although externally the band was picking up, internally they were falling apart. Matt was by nature a lead guitarist, tired of doing the band's dirty work as bassist. However, Mike's faith and motivation in the band had dwindled, leaving the band no choice but to bump Mike out, thereby bumping Matt up one notch to try his chops at lead. The CD was finished beforehand, however, giving Mike Kata a permenant mark in Resound history. The band treked ahead with their CD Legends for quite some time, but with the change in band lineup, and the addition of Al Zappata on bass, they knew that the format had changed, and so the band had evovled. The new set of metalheads trekked back into the studio, and after a year came out with the Crucifix album. This album has since boosted them to incredible levels of exposure, with both record companies as well as the public. |
