Artist description
We are a political movement. Seeking to disrupt the regularity of routine, we implement staged acts of cultural terrorism to awaken the masses. Our banging on metal objects, tenor sax squeals, vocal lacerations and more intonations distract the oppressed, allowing us to subvert the deadening repetitious nature of 9-5 labor, higher education, and inane television programs. |

Artist History
Two members, Eprom and Captain Ilium, were previously in the short lived Omega Project, a similarly oriented group. They met as a result of living on the same hall of a dormitory. Fall of 1998 brought Marlevil, Gitis and Hermshu into the scene. Eprom contacted Marlevil as a result of signs being posted regarding formation of a performance art group. A few musical practices ensued between them and Ilium, going in a free jazz sort of direction. Gitis occasionally showed up as well. The following semester, Hermshu hosted a radio show where 10 Year Old Ass, Marlevil's other band with the Professor, were performing. Eprom and Gitis appeared and eventually began "helping out," thus spawning Missing Dog Head. |
