I was bornI worked as a writer in advertising (back! back! satan! avast thee!).I met Owain[k] and Steve[k].We started a studio.I jacked in my writer's job.Then the [k] brothers had a bit of a kerfuffle (fracas) outside a pub in central London - what you get for going into tourist central from the safety of da eastend) and [k]rakked studios was no more. However, thanks to an afro-technogeek trance medium, Cardinal Exu,Ifa was able to carry on working withsuch illustrious musicians as the ghosts of Fela Kuti, Mingus, Monk.... Also very much alive but dropping in for impromptu jams were the Ka of George Clinton andLee Scratch Perry's musical Duppy. |
