RENEGADE - Extreme Music OnLine Magazine
FIG LEAF **** (out of 5) "Fearless" - Moonchild
Records Coming from Norway, Fig Leaf reaches
their fourth album, and fortunately they're
better than never. Their previous work "The
Humble Poet" already showed a mature band, one
of the best progressive rock metal acts of the
current scene. Fig Leaf are like those bands
from 70's that used to please both fans of hard
rock and progressive music at the same time,
because they consider both scenes just like one.
Then you listen elements of Deep Purple here,
touches of Yes over there, etc. Like always, Fig
Leaf make use of flute and saxophone in some
moments that denote some jazz influences. A must
have for progressive rock fans! (C.A.)
