Artist History DRAGSTRIP 77 was formed in late 1996 in Las Vegas, filling the empty space left by The Shakin’ Dominoes and complementing the rockabilly explosion set off by local bands The Ruffnecks, and The Shuffle-Aires. In the short time since then, DRAGSTRIP 77 has established itself as the premiere rockabilly act in Las Vegas, most notably known by their high-octane performances. In addition, they've been the local openers for The Reverend Horton Heat, The Stray Cats’ Lee Rocker, Big Sandy and The Flyrite Boys, and Paul Burlison and Rocky Burnette, among others. Thirdly, members of DRAGSTRIP 77 have also made guest appearances and performed on recent record releases including Rollin’ Rock/HMG recording artist Mack Stevens. Furthermore, advance copies of the recording are currently gainingairplay on KCMU 90.3 in Seattle on Dr. Leon Berman's "Shake The Shack" rockabilly show. Lastly, DRAGSTRIP 77 will be performing at the 2nd Annual Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender, and has also been selected to perform at the EAT-Mconference in May, also in Las Vegas.
