Artist History
Cameron Pierre is a totally self-taught musician who started playing the bass guitar at the age of 16. He established himself on the Reggae scene during the late seventies early eighties, working with a host of Jamaican artists, including Clint Eastwood & General Saint, and Barrington Levy after many of plying his trade in top forty and calypso bands across the city of London. Since then his direction has diversified to include Jazz, which he now plays regularly on the British jazz circuit. |

Press Reviews
Mellow is definitely the word to describe the music found on this new CD by Cameron Pierre, better known as guitarist with Courtney Pine. Caribbean and latin rytms cruises gently beneath ultra smooth songs like Friday Night and Time. While this album never moves into the realms of extraordinary, it remains a perfect chillout album, laid back and groovy, punctuated by Pierre's gorgeous guitar playing. All the song available are self penned with the exception of Linstead market, an old Caribbean favourite. Here all Pierre's heritage and influences are in evidence. Make no mistake this is a very good debut album, by an exceptionally talented musician. When you consider that the whole thing was conceived, written, produce and finance by the man himself. Pierre describes his concept as threefold. From Africa to Dominica and then London. I see no reason to doubt him on this evidence, it's all there.
