Artist description
The music can be powerful and moody, and at times fast-paced and driving. The members? influences are many and varied including different types of music outside the genre of rock. This manifests itself in their original writing style that is not bound to whatever the current trend in the rock mainstream happens to be. AUDIOSTAGG takes pride in performing music that comes from the creative soul. They are among the bands that exemplify the sound of the next? |

Artist History
Greg Gould and Steve Niles founded AUDIOSTAGG in 1988 in Modesto, CA. By 1989, the band was filled out with Drummer Rob Berthelson and Bassist Collette Bias. Dave Watkins replaced Bias the same year. In April a singer was found in Stockton, CA. Mykal Fury stepped into the role of Lead Vocalist. The group began writing and recording songs in June. By September, recording was complete and the first live performance in October 1989 was incredibly well received beyond even the band?s expectations. The self-titled, eight-song debut album was released in early 1990. This recording featured the hits: The Machine, Lonely, and Comin? Through. Most of 1991 AUDIOSTAGG supported their album by playing regularly in the Bay Area and Central Valley. In between gigs, they found time to record new material. July 1, 1992, DARGA Compact Discs and Cassettes released ?Dilemma,? AUDIOSTAGG?s second self-produced album. Tragically, at that time, two key members were asked to leave the band due to unresolved personal problems. Fortunately, they were replaced before the end of the year. Current Bassist Korey Keathley joined up and was quickly followed by current Drummer Jimmy White.Through 1994, this line up continued to support the first album and ?Dilemma? at such prestigious nightspots as The Stone, San Francisco; The Cabaret, San Jose; The Omni, Oakland; The Boardwalk in Sacramento and The Cadillac Club in Fresno.Near the close of 1994, Vocalist Fury quit the band. The remaining band members cite irreconcilable conflicts as the reason for Fury?s departure. Over the next few years during a hiatus from performing, the band rode out the changes in the music scene. They auditioned potential lead vocalists and Guitarist Greg Gould and Drummer Jimmy White embarked on a studio building project, converting an unused building into a rehearsal and recording studio, which remains in use today. Upon completion, the members returned to rehearsing regularly and working on new material. The search for a singer remained unfruitful until 1999 when a chance meeting between Greg Gould and Marko Bustamante at a local gig led to several auditions. The resulting chemistry convinced everyone including Busamante, that he should join the band. The year 2000 brings excitement as AUDIOSTAGG looks forward to releasing new material with established Bassist Korey Keathley and Drummer Jimmy White, as well as newest member, Bustamante, who will also be joining AUDIOSTAGG on stage for the first ti |
