Artist History Classically trained in a variety of instruments including piano, violin and vocals, Peter Townson is the creative force behind Waterline having written the words and music for all 11 tracks on the Waterline CD - with one exception, the title track being co-written with Kate Gibson. Featuring soulful acoustic guitars, stirring violin melodies and wistful saxophones, Townson's debut solo album is a showcase of his emotive songwriting abilities. The Waterline CD has been released and distributed under Peter Townson's own label 'Rosemount Music' based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. Waterline was produced by the award-winning Paul Cheeseman who won the 1994 Queensland Producer of the Year Award. Born and bred on a Sunshine Coast farm, Peter Townson is a prolific writer of lyrics and music which paint pictures of treasured memories, broken hearts, warm love and lucky lives - a melting pot of lessons in life. Concentrating on piano and guitar, Peter Townson has been performing music for seven years both as a solo performer and with a number of cover bands. These days he prefers to write original music.
