Press Reviews
"Michael is a tasty player who is as comfortable with one note wailing as he is with a flurry of notes. However, its the entire band that really makes this project click. Their flawless execution and impeccable timing breathes life into each song making for exquisite soundscapes." Metronome Magazine, Jan. 1997 "Boasting progressive arrangements which pay tribute to traditional influences, Michael Kelley & the Hot Blue Q's "No, What?" is a feast for the ears of moderns and straight-ahead devotees alike. This one is a real find" Hilarie Grey, JazzTimes, March 1997 |
