Artist History
Recording music is like making a painting. With original compositions each lyric, instrument, musician, sound or track you add is a color or stroke. Think of Jombo Schlondorf like a painting. The premiere self-titled release "Jombo Schlondorf" is finished thanks to help from Carlos Alden, Michael Moonbear, Steve Jackson, Don Millard, Wallace Idaho, drummer Joe Zupan and keyboardist Rory Marrero. Bass, vocal and writing credits go to Patrick Klausen who is also Production Director for Spokane Public Radio in Washington State. Mitch Gilbreth, entertainment editor for Spokane's The Local Planet, said in his article about locally produced CDs recommended as holiday gifts "this release is packed full of surprises that touch on a wide range of musical tastes. I'll call it retro lounge blues because it sits on the edge of rockin' blues, surf beats, folk rock, acoustic blues and some keyboard driven psychedelic 60s feel in it." "There's nothing traditional or mainstream about this CD, and instead of finding one or two songs that will hook you into listening I've found at least four, and that's a better average than you get with some national acts." You are free to download Jombo Schlondorf's tunes. If you really enjoy them, it would be smashing if you purchased the CD. We have not sold one CD off this site! Probably cause we have made them free. Whatever! There's even multimedia files (mp3) on the DAM CD with pictures and lyrics and stuff...that's additional to the tracks playable on a CD player! Come on...it's only EIGHT BUCKS! MP3.com gets half and the guy that paid out the 3 to 4 thousand bucks to make this recording gets half. Buying a decent music CD doesn't get much cheaper than that! MP3 web type posting is the future of recorded music. Waddya think? Why don't you e-mail PK and tell him what you think. Use the "contact" tab at the top of the page for a direct link or.....pkjombo@attbi.com. Or just buy it! At least if your gonna download tunes for free, e-mail us and say where you're from, your shoe size, or how much the CD sucks...etc.....E-mails are extremely welcome! Thank You!!! |
