Artist History
"Without abandoning the sentimental and playful ballads that earned them their own special place in the annals of 80's soft rock, EXO III entered the new millennium hoping to inject a different kind of energy into their good-natured pop. Learning from the mistakes and victories of Peter Gabriel, EXO III pioneered a new sound that borrowed as much from the dancehalls of early swing music as it did from the crack-rock that became popular with both fans and critics of EXO III's fun riffs. As time passed and the topic of dead kittens became increasingly important to the band, the vocal focus shifted from a stripped-down gnashing of teeth to a crooning heralded for being as intimate as it is gentle. While all members of EXO III are sexually impotent, they don't let this become a source of dissension or bitterness; instead, they use it as a force that consolidates the band's talents while concurrently definining the potency of their sound" |
