Artist description zanderman are a band of classic rock ‘n’ roll sensibilities with a contemporary twist. Their music is both emotive and uplifting combining soaring vocals with campfire melodies.zanderman arose out of the ashes of the band ‘Addict’ in January 2000. After recording a radically different second album in New Orleans in summer ’99, working with Malcolm Burns and Emmy Lou Harris, Addict dissolved into a new musical direction and freedom and zanderman was born.Along with a new bass player came a renewed sense of creative liberation. Drawing on influences as varied as Neil Young, the Beatles, Beck and REM six months were spent writing and recording as the band dynamic evolved.The philosophy at the heart of the band is as important as the music; “collectively we are positive, optimistic people and we want to communicate this through our music. We want to unite people, to inspire them”.
