Press Reviews
Chill and ambient stuff isn't what I'd normally plug into but I thought I'd give it a go and I'm very pleased I did. It's a nice jazzy, trip-hoppy, mellow, chilled, atmospheric and very laid back without being dull, monotonous and boring. Overall Thom manages to get a really fresh and interesting feel with a nice mix of interesting synth sounds and textures alongside well treated and arranged guitars, pianos, drums, basses, etc. I've been a fan of Tomstone since I first heard The Island and Caffe Del Mar so I decided I'd check back and see if anything new had been posted and to my delight I found there are a whole stack of tracks now on line. The production on these tunes is really great, everything has space and nothing is muddy. The use of delay is superb and his control of reverb keeps getting better and better, the mixes are crisper than ever. Secret Archives of the Vatican about tomstone |
