Musical Influences
i grew up listening to all kinds of music some of my favorite was: the moodyblues, stevie nicks, elton john, dianna ross, tinita tikiram, maria mckee, boston, sinead o'connor, tori amos, john denver, and chris isaak. then i discovered electronic music. it was a very exiciting new influence. i have listened to kraftwwerk and some of my favorite mp3.com electronic artists are the Paradox and blue: tech. but after i listened to a LOT of electronic music i started getting bored becuase it all started sounding the same. frustrated with my own live performances i began attending more local live performances. i was completely moved and impressed by a performance of amilia k spicer, another mp3.com artist. she played her keyboards and sang her beautifully lyrical and songs and i was refreshed with the simplicity and purity of her approach. my newest work will encompass all of my listening history ....... hopefully we will all enjoy the results! |
