Artist History
Edmund J Wood,Born old at a very young age.1951 in New York. Was influenced by my Uncle Bobby day,who played with Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians. When Keith Jarret was in the band(he was 18 at the time)Anyway my uncle turned me on to the greats in jazz, before I was 10. When The Beatles came out I hated that yeah yeah crap,it took me years to dig what they were doing.Infact I plan to do a cd Featuring their music.John Lennon says it all in Working Class Hero and Imagine.I start playing music around 4 or 6 years old.I`m 48 now and I feel like I`m just begining to scratch the surface.Music is my life 24/7,like a Moth to the flame.choice is not an option.I have also played, recored and with such greats as,Alvin L Queen(without his help I would not be here today)Kenny Kirkland,Frank Foster,Phoebe Snow.Walter Davis Jr,Ronny Burrage,Charly Blenzik,Claudio Roditti.Just to name a few.My disography Immanent Domain on Nilva Records( to which I now own the rights)and While I sleep on Plectra Records( my own label now dead)Soon coming back life on MP3 stay tuned for there release date! BOP TILL YOU DROP Edmund J wood |
