Press Reviews
***Get Fancy! Magazine***: "From the Crocodile and the Ballard Firehouse to The Colourbox, Ruperts and the OK Hotel, Mostly Records' Bangover has found a fun and faithful fan base throughout Seattle with airplay at neighbors KISW & KNDD, spanning classic and alternative audiences. Debut CD "Make Molly Dance" jumps from catchy college radio contender "Like Buttah", mixing edgy and intense guitars with Nina Gordon like vocals to the anthem chord progressions of the inspirational and empowering "In Charge of Me." Similarities spanning Nina Gordon, Rockit girl, and Sleater Kinney make for a memorable collection that would fit right in to the female fronted vacancy of Alt and pop radio***Listen.com***: ?Post Grunge pop from Seattle that mixes in some healthy nods to new wave. The female singer sounds like Ednaswap's Anne Preven, only more soulful and confidence-transcending.?***Riffage***: ?Low-fi, post grunge is in competent hands with Seattle's Bangover. With soulful female vocals and quirky new-wave influences, look for this band to win many converts with its honest portraits of struggling relationships and catchy hooks.?***GoGirlsMusic.com***: Alterna-pop Seattle rockers, Bangover, are turning heads with their impressive debut release "Make Molly Dance." Fronted by Lisa Wood, who is a dynamite vocalist, this band pulls no punches with its driving, edgy sounds. I love this CD and you will too!." |
