Artist History
T.B. said: "Well, that's good. "God" knows I've never heard of you guys... 8^)" Then Batz said: "We're underground. You're not supposed to have heard of us. :)" so T.B thought a moment and said. "Well then how am I. . . Oh never mind. . ." _____________ ____ The All Electric Kitchen are the original Underground Cyber/geek band emanating originally from Australia. Founded in 1988 by Batz J Goodfortune. A veteran of the electronic music wars, it was then called "The all electric Kitchen in the sky." It took it's name from a passage in the book by Douglas R Hoffstadder called "Godel Escher Back, an eternal golden braid." Now due to the corruption and persecution of geeks rife in Australia, it's members are spread around the world. Mainly in America but as far as Poland and as tall as Nova Scotia Canada. It's charter is to make music that is always on the edge and based in heavy custom electronics with a groove. Almost bluesy in ethic, it's techno is heavier than most. _____ _____ Some notoriety was gained when they released `Messing for Allied'. A song inspired by a character in a William Gibson book. Of which William Gibson commented was... "the best Chevette Theme since Chrome Khoran." Both `Messing' and the current CD `Elementary Urban Sanity' are available from Transmission Communications records. ____________ AEK are best described as "Pink Floyd meets the Techno from Hell in the world war III of your mind." It takes AEK between 2 and 5 years to release a new CD due to being starving musician types and the huge logistics of recording a band that now lives around the world. A new CD "Father Uncle Cousin King" is currently in the works. Some of which you can preview here. Or Visit the AEK web site for amazing geek stories and sci-fi, vicious rants and other products of their deranged minds. |

Press Reviews
'Imagine if you will an android featuring components lifted from GaryNuman, The Orb, Vangelis, and Jarre, programmed to respond toindustrial and ambient audio, and you come close to the nature of BatzGoodfortune, the Kitchen's style is neither techno nor dance in thetraditional sense. Heavy "metal" marinated in ambience with a thick blendof techno with a cryptic, lyrical sauce. Melancholy and foreboding yetstrangely uplifting - strong dark electronica with social context andsynthetic method.' T Magazine |
