Artist description The music is FUNK with rock elements. It takes your breath away and makes you feel high. The guitar parts are derived from New Orleans Jazz and Chicago and Memphis Blues. Nathan moves more to the jazz and funk and Luke is more of a blues/rock player. They forge an eclectic electric symphony. Andrew's bass lines are derived from funk and blues, reminiscent of players like T.M. Stevens and Bootsy Collins. Jason's drumming is something new all together. He obviously is from the funk side of things but he interperets the music in a whole new way that blew the whole band away the first time they heard him. He can play 24th notes and 16ths with his feet. His fills are like nothing you've ever heard. He holds these complex grooves together. Together they make 8 Miles High.

When he isn't playing with the Franklin Jazz Band, he is working on his rigorous schedule of sessions for Nashvilles top recording artists or working on his chops.
