    Artist History
Tom Hunter has been writing and performing for more than 30 years. Beginning with a '62 Strat (from his Grandfather), Tom practiced and made all the usual tracks playing Rock and Roll at high school dances and in garages all around Dallas. His exploits took him to California, Kansas, back to Texas, New Jersey, Tennessee and ultimately back here to Texas. While playing with the band, Texarkana in the 1980's and 90's, Tom was selected as a solo contestant for the Nashville Network's show, "Be A Star". Texarkana was one of the most popular Country and Western dance bands in South Jersey, playing to loyal crowds every weekend. "Since the Bootscooters follow the band from club to club, Texarkana brings their own party wherever they play." -Debi Coombes, In Tune magazine, January, 1993. Tom recorded 9 of the 10 tracks on the album "Square The Deal" in 1990 in Nashville at Reflections Studio. Track number 5, "What Can I Do To Please You?" was taken from 24 track tapes recorded earlier at PRC Studios in Philadelphia, PA. The Nashville sessions were produced by John Fisher for Woolf-Lynn Productions. The original release is long since sold out, but are now being made available here at MP3. More to come...
