Artist History
Every thing started in March 2000.Percy and Joe was sitting in Percys apartment and had a few beers and they began talking about starting a band together.Like always, the band name issue came up first. They both agreed that "The Shopliftingangels" sounded cool,it had a "punky" sound to it.So after the bandname thing was out of the way, it was time to start writing some songs! Percy had some songs lying around and they started to fiddle around with them and soon after that they recruited Joe`s brother Stefan for the vocal spot. Now they had some songs to record. They booked some time at SubSonic Studio in Upplands Väsby,Sweden and recorded 3 songs in 2 days (1-2 of april). And with help from "neainternet" they started shopliftingangels.com wich was launched on May 15th. The response to that was overwhelming! On the 22nd-23rd of july they entered the studio once again to record 3 new tracks "Don`t use me","Bored" and "Eat them flies". They have been aproached by some recordlabels but nothing special. They are going to participate on a compilation CD on a English label, but more news on that later on! As was said, they are a young band, so there is not much to write home about yet, but hopefully there will be soon! |
