Artist History
After stalking Polly Fey for some considerable time Mutate (a London based techno outfit, consisting of two guys, Marve & Zee who, togetherhave been creating some serious techno punk club music, finally managed to land the girl of their dreams, (as thier vocalist) Who intun introduced them to Marnie who just happend to play violin and sing, as well as playing a host of indian musical instruments but as marve said " be careful for what you wish for, because you just might get it;" as Polly has now flung herself into the workings of Mutate with such ferocity and verve, that in moments of creative input the rest of the band, usually Zee, have had to duck for cover, avoiding spontaneously airborne objects, as Polly can, and usually does, go into one, changing lyrics here, and arrangments there, at the drop of a hat! or computer screen at very least. Well that only actually happened once, say the boys as they made her pay for that particular outburst of creative energy. Mutate hadn't counted on any of this, they just wanted a vocalist to sing their songs. However, as Marnie says.. " at the end of the day you can't really argue with a good idea" and as Polly always tells them "look boys, I can't come up with anything but, I can change everything! " And as the band have come to learn (fisticuffs aside): few babies are born without some passion along the way. And Mutates babies are no different to the gurgling burping variety, especialy when they dust down their 303 (Now here's the science bit) however they now tend to mostly use The Reaktor, as some of the morphing and filtering abilities are really quite outstanding, or so the boys say. |
