turned into songwriting, and the result was Melinda's 1999 debut, 'Quiet
Loathing Girl'. Since then, she has performed at a wide number of venues,
including Vancouver's Indie Waste music festival, been interviewed on CFRO's
Radio Bandcouver, and has received airplay on popular stations in Belgium,
Spain, and Sweden. Melinda's latest release, 'This Mortal Lust', is already

Press Reviews
"Cheers to the shrew who refuses to be tamed. Calgarian-turned-Vancouverite
Melinda Gidaly has just released her debut '[Quiet Loathing Girl]'.
Highlighted by her falsetto folk elegance and opinionated confessionals,
Melinda's a capella 'Caught In The Shower' is one powerful shiner among many
on this artfully charged album."
~Aubrey McInnis, Calgary FFWD
"Smooth and expressive...Melinda Gidaly is an artist with a good, strong
voice and a talent for poetry."
~Cheryl Turner, Rambles magazine
"Superb stuff."
~Paul Dawson, acclaimed UK singer-songwriter
"If y'all ain't checked this lady's music n' words out at a gig, you're
missin' someone talented-kooky-funny!"
~T. Paul Ste. Marie, spoken word artist and host of Vancouver's Thundering
